Nova is here!

Nova is a dedicated message board for all things Vekari! It's a new way for you to get notified about announcements and events, chat with other players (and maybe characters as well), and report your findings! It also allows guest players to feel more a part of the community than a Discord server might.

With Nova of course will be the first few player accounts. I still stand by my desire to have this game be fully playable and enjoyable without one. Accounts are more for quality of life features, small bonus side adventures, and of course the forums.

In order to create a Vekari account, you will need to acquire a 6-digit registration code. At the time of writing this, these will only be distributed to Cyber Goblin members, Early Access Readers, and select playtesters. If you'd like to join the test and support my work, you can get a membership here: https://ko-fi.com/inkusalters
Existing registered users will be able to distribute codes later on once I'm satisfied with how everything looks and runs, and you may even find some hidden on the site itself!

What can Nova do?
Nova runs on phpBB, an open-source forum software. You can use it like any other old-school forum with BBCode-compatible messages and signatures, with the added capabilities of direct messages (and group chats), friends, a little profile... and not a single shred of unnecessary AI in sight. I even turned the image posting on, so you can share cat photos.

What will a Vekari account be able to do?
A Vekari account will be able to post on Nova, make a profile, and message other users. On the main site, registered users will have their preferences and stats saved to their account to access on any device, as well as the ability to start collecting personal achievements, with more features to come! Users who already have special Discord roles may be surprised to find that their collection has already begun!

When will Vekari registration open to the public?
Vekari registration will be invite-only for the foreseeable future, I have no plans to change that. It's the easiest way for me to prevent bots and to prevent any bad actors from simply returning. However, those invites will remain closed to a small group of users likely for at least a few months. I am hoping to allow those users to begin distributing codes later this year.

With or without an account, I hope you enjoy the new community space we have to build up and the free entertainment.
