These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on Nova. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

1. Keep it civil

   1. Transphobia, homophobia, xenophobia, racism, ableism, and any hateful speech towards anyone for their gender, religion, sexual orientation, hobbies, or harmless opinions will not be tolerated.
      This is not a safe space for Nazis. #
   2. It's a free web game, it's not that serious. Please refrain from making threats or taking violent real life actions against any players on this board. This includes doxxing, stalking, and threats of violence to another user or people they may associate with. If your emotions have heightened to the point of considering these actions, please seek help from your national crisis hotline. #
   3. Overall, don't be needlessly rude. Everyone is on their own journey through Vekari and has different experiences, knowledge, skills, and capabilities. Vekari celebrates the differences in people, so mocking or bullying is not tolerated here, unless it is in justified retaliation. #

2. Keep it legal

   1. Be aware that posts you make, including attached images and videos, are public. As Vekari covers heavy topics, this is a space where players are free to share their art or thoughts related to the game's content, and thus some topics or media attachments may be NSFW in nature. These posts are required to have attached content warnings. It is your responsibility as a poster to ensure that the content you post is legal (as in, not child pornography, revenge porn, or real abuse.) It is also your responsibility as a user to avoid consuming content that would be upsetting for you according to provided warnings, or if underage, that you are not old enough to be consuming. #
   2. I too was a child once. I know how this goes. Kids will sneak into places they shouldn't anyways, despite best efforts to keep them out and all the rules in the world. Nova is operating on a strict Protect the Kids policy that actually works to protect children through community effort. By engaging with the board here, you agree to treat recognized underage users with respect and to intervene and notify me in the event of perceived harm or danger so I can ban the offending party. By remaining vigilant as a community, we can collectively keep predators out and at least give these users a space to explore and learn as safely as Vekari allows, under the assumption that they are under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or trusted adult. #

3. Avoid spam

   1. Only links to approved shops are allowed to be advertised on Nova. Users with characters in Vekari may promote the real world items tied to their shops once per day in the appropriate topics. If you would like to submit a shop for approval, please send a message with the link and description to an admin. #
   2. Please avoid making the same posts multiple times, or posting in quick succession so that all users may enjoy the boards. #

4. Keep it human

   1. There is to be absolutely no generative AI use on Nova by any participating party. AI generated texts, images, audios, and layouts when caught will be met with a swift account ban, with no additional warnings. Consider this your only one. #

5. Have fun

   1. Nova exists to help expand Vekari's player community, so please do your best to make this a place worth re-visiting. You don't have to jump around with excitement about every little new update or post. But talking about your favourite events, scenes, characters, and conspiracies is how other people know you're interested, which gets them interested too! Don't be afraid to post about whatever's on your mind, make some new friends (or foes, but CIVILLY), and plot against my dastardly puzzles. Enjoy the breath of fresh air away from the big tech corporations here on Earth, you've earned it. #
